Security and Privacy Policy

We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of its members and adhere to the following policy. We suggest that you review the Privacy policy, which describes how information is collected and used. Please check back from time to time, as our policy may change.

1. Information collection. In our online registration form, we require you to provide us with communication information, username, password, as well as details of your swimming experience.

In addition to registration we may ask you for personal information at other times, including (but not limited to) when you enter a contest or promotion sponsored by CyberSwimClub.com and/or our partners. If you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence in order to ensure a prompt and accurate response. CyberSwimClub.com also occasionally asks members to complete optional surveys that we use for research purposes. This information will not be shared with any third party without your direct permission. Wherever we collect personal information we make an effort to include a link to this Privacy Policy on that page.

2. Cookies.  A cookie is a small data file that certain Web sites write to your hard drive when you visit them. A cookie file can contain information such as a user ID that the site uses to track the pages you've visited. But the only personal information a cookie can contain is information you supply yourself. Generally, cookies work by assigning a unique number to the user that has no meaning outside the assigning site. 3. Use of information. All of the information we collect, both what you tell us and what we collect through the use of cookies, is grouped together. We use this aggregated information to evaluate which services are successful and which new services we should make available on our web site and to help our advertisers better target advertisements.

4. Links to other web sites. CyberSwimClub.com contains links to other sites and is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such web sites. Our policy only addresses the use and disclosure of information we collect from you. To the extent that you disclose your information to other parties, or other sites throughout the Internet, different rules may apply to their use or disclosure of the personal information you disclose to them. To the extent that we use third party advertisers, they adhere to their own privacy customs and policies. We encourage you to ask questions before you disclose your personal information to others.

5. Security. CyberSwimClub.com utilizes the latest and most secure version of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption technology. This technology safeguards your personal information and guarantees privacy. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card number, name, e-mail address and mailing address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. This technology is provided by Equifax Secure Inc. and is identified by the "Digital Certificate" they provide.

6. Correct/update policy. CyberSwimClub.com offers you the ability to correct or change the information collected during registration by going to the Change User Info page in the members section. You may change this information at any time and as often as necessary. 7. Credit Cards. Credit Card information is required in to activate your membership. Any information pertaining to credit card transactions is transmitted through the latest 128 bit one-way encryption technology and is not stored on any of CyberSwimClub.com servers. In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures. CyberSwimClub.com uses the services of PlugnPay to process credit card transactions. CyberSwimClub.com analyzes its web site logs to constantly improve the value of the content and services available to its users. We collect and store information about the domain name from which you access the Internet, the time and date you access the CyberSwimClub.com, and the Internet address of the web site from which you linked to us. The information and visitor traffic is consolidated as an aggregate. CyberSwimClub.com may provide aggregate data to our advertisers and strategic partners, but we do not release information about individual members or readers. This information enables us to tell which areas of the site are of most interest to our users, which avenues of site promotion are most effective, and to pinpoint peak usage times.
